Summer of 2020 the W/O, explored the practice of renegotiating our relationship to “personal” objects by placing them in unusual yet most frequented places: bathrooms, kitchens, cars, etc., etc. With each unusual encounter with the personal object, we played with the score of disrupting our visual capacities while continuing to perform the everyday choreographies of each particular space: washing our hands without the eyes, making a cup of coffee without the eyes, sometimes even driving without the eyes…
The deepest and most archaic parts of the brain are more than 400 million years old - suggesting that “we have seen it all before”...
